The Harry Rogers trained Allegra Tak made all to take the Meath Apprentice Handicap over five furlongs with promising young rider Marc Monaghan in the saddle.

The 6yo daughter of Invincible Spirit has been a good servant to connections and was recording her fourth career success this afternoon.

She had been a bit disappointing so far this season and was having fifth start of 2012 today.

She did however run well on her penultimate start over the course and distance where she finished third, just over four and a half lengths behind My Girl Anna.

Having opened at 8/1 this morning the winner opened on course at just 6/1 and was backed into 9/2 co-favouritism at the off with Bubbly Bellini and Measured Approval

Having made all she was ridden clear over a furlong from home and kept on well under pressure from there to score by three and three parts of a length at the line. One Of Three put in an eye-catching performance, staying on well from the rear to take second at 6/1 under Colm Keane for Michael Mulvany while Bubbly Bellini was further half a length back in third under Ian Brennan for Adrian McGuinness.

The other 9/2 co-favourite Measured Approval ran a disappointing race and finished tenth at the finished under Sam James for Pat Flynn.

Winning trainer Harry Rogers said afterwards: "She did it well although it probably was an ordinary enough race. She might run tomorrow in the Curragh (declared for the 6f handicap at 3:20) otherwise she will be back her next Friday night."
