Whispering Hills ran out a cosy winner of the three-mile maiden hurdle at Tipperary.

Bryan Cooper gave the 6/4 favourite a confident ride, travelling sweetly to challenge Flaming Hymn at the second last.

Dessie Hughes' charge went on before the final flight and had plenty left in the tank as he recorded a four-and-a-half length success.

The winner was a solid 6/4 shot having shortened before racing due to the withdrawal of a couple of fancied rivals.

"We're a long time waiting for that. He's had lots of problems but he's brand new now," said Hughes.

"He stays well. We might go for a winners of one or he could run in a stayers hurdle at Galway. He'll probably have to run in a handicap to get a trip."
