The Tommy Stack trained Wickham Street under Mark Walsh, justified 11/8 favouritism when winning the opening Mallow Maiden Hurdle at Cork this evening.
The son of Saddlers' Hall tracked the leaders, before eventually getting to the front at the final flight, staying on well for a two lengths win over Bangonform
Stack himself was absent but his son Fozzy Stack did state "Wickham Street slipped a little bit going into the first few hurdles and it affected his confidence a bit. That's it for him now until later in the year."ear."
