William Du Berlais enjoyed his spin around Downpatrick as he secured a clear-cut success in the extended two mile three handicap chase.

Enda Bolger 's charge moved into a narrow lead at the third last and drew clear on the run-in to pass the post 12 lengths to the good. Mitebeall Forluck (10/1) kept on at the same pace for second, half a length in front of Better Back Bob (11/2).

Jockey Mark Walsh said of the 6/4 favourite: "He did it well. The race was run to suit him, it was a nice, even gallop. He travelled and jumped away. He deserved his turn winning. That's his grade so everything went well for him today."

This was Walsh's first winner since an injury lay-off due to a fractured cheekbone sustained in July.
