Winner-a-day for Enright

Philip Enright partnered his sixth winner of the week when steering Beckwith Star to win the Knockenduff Stud Beginners Chase at Tramore today, completing a winner-a-day for the last six day’s racing in Ireland.

Beckwith Star, a son of Flemensfirth, raced prominently throughout, led from six out before staying on well to eventually easily defeat runner-up Mount Welcome

Afterwards winning trainer Henry De Bromhead said “it’s great to get a winner here and I’m del for Herb (Stanley, winning owner) as he’s a great supporter of our yard.

“Philip gave him a super ride and a few different people suggested the horse should be ridden more prominently and they were right.”
