Permit holder Philip Redmond achieved his biggest success to date when Florida Express landed the feature Imperial Call Chase at Cork.

The 10-year-old bounced back from a disappointing run at Fairyhouse to easily land this Listed race in testing conditions.

Shane Jackson always had the 11-2 shot in a handy position as Tom The Traveller set the pace.

After Aran Concerto fell at the eighth last fence when held up in rear, it seemed that 15-8 favourite Tinakellylad had the measure of his rivals.

However, Florida Express took the lead four out and comfortably shrugged off the challenge of the market leader to win by eight lengths.

"The deeper the ground the better and there is no point in running him unless it's like that," said the County Wexford handler.

"He has to have it at least soft to heavy. Unless the weather stays like this he'll go out to grass. That's probably my biggest training success."
