Wingtips attempts to gain a deserved success in the fairyhouse.ie Maiden Hurdle, which kicks off the track's six-race card at 12.45.

Tony Martin campaigned his four-year-old ambitiously last season, and he was rewarded with prize money from the English and French Triumph Hurdles, as well as a third-placing in the juvenile championship at the Punchestown Festival.

Unlikely to be a working man's price, he should score comfortably before stepping back up in class with his confidence buoyed.

Martin will also have high hopes for Tepalo, who steps out of maiden company for the first time in the Fairyhouse Premier Jump Racing Weekend Handicap Hurdle.

Recent Tipperary scorer Grange heads no less than four last-start winners in opposition, though, so the task is hardly an easy one.

Grange's owner JP McManus also has his colours carried by the veteran Dancing Tornado in the Follow Fairyhouse On Twitter Hurdle.

The 11-year-old doesn't know how to run a bad race but, on these terms, has his work cut out giving weight to the higher-rated Cause Of Causes.

Silver Friend was no match for exciting prospect Waaheb at this venue but also merits more than a cursory glance, as does the returning Si C'Etait Vrai.

The latter's stable companion Seefood is seeking a hat-trick in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Novice Hurdle and looked smart over course and distance most recently.

Shrapnel made his first start for Gordon Elliott a winning one and Henry de Bromhead's bumper winner Sizing Gold is another worthy adversary.

Molly's Affair offered encouragement on her Punchestown introduction and, along with Captain Lob and Totally Couture, sets a good standard for Noel Meade's newcomer Owen Mc to aspire to in the Bobbyjo Bistro At Fairyhouse Flat Race.

Mister First, Lady Olwyn and Beckwith Star all let favourite-backers down on their most recent appearances, but head the weights for the Fairyhouse Follow Us On Facebook Handicap Hurdle and shouldn't be far away at the business end.
