< Wexford Opera (9-1) bounced back from a couple of disappointing efforts with a victory in the www.gowranpark.ie Handicap.< Strait Of Zanzibar produced a bold bid to make all in the afternoon's feature race but was challenged by Mizaah and the winner two furlongs out.

Kevin Manning's mount had to dig deep to get past the pace-setter but stayed on best to edge in front inside the final furlong and score by a length.

There was Aidan O'Brien family one-two in the opening Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Maiden but not in the order most people would have expected.< Sir Edwin Landseer trained by Aidan O'Brien, was sent straight to the front in an attempt to justify 4-6 favouritism but was joined by Randall Stevens and the Joseph O'Brien-trained Intricately (33-1) a furlong out.

It was the latter who asserted late on to give his handler a shock victory over his father's runner by a length and a quarter.

O'Brien senior had to settle for the silver medal again in the Follow Gowran Park On Facebook Race as his well-fancied Bravery found Ashraf too strong.

A disappointing favourite in the Irish Lincoln on his reappearance, Dermot Weld's charge returned to his best as he stayed on strongly to deny the 4-5 favourite by three-quarters of a length.

Colin Keane landed both divisions of the Gowran Park Golf Club Societies Welcome Handicap, firstly partnering Best Not Argue (13-2fav) to a five-and-a-half-length success from Punches Pious before Enough Is Enough (9-1) crossed the line three lengths ahead of Maritime Law in the second instalment.
