The mount of Johnny Murtagh was third on the first day of the new season at the Curragh and was always prominent in this seven-furlong contest.

Mick Halford's gelding was fifth in the warm Curragh maiden won by Toraidhe two weeks ago and no sooner had Across the Rhine hit the front over a furlong from home here, than Hawkhill pounced to score by a length and a quarter as a 6-1 chance.
The Greenmount Park Members Club Handicap went the way of Paul Townend on Ready To Tap (12-1), while Declan McDonogh produced Pussyfooting with a perfectly-timed challenge to deny fellow 6-1 co-favourite Lord Rathvinden on the line in the Patrickswell Community Council Handicap.
McDonogh doubled up when Splurge (5-2) rewarded favourite-backers in the 13th June Live Music After Racing Maiden.
The seven-year-old is a smart handicap hurdler and on only his third start on the level, saw out the extended mile and three furlongs best to account for Uncle Eric by three lengths.
