< First Cornerstone sprung a 33-1 surprise to land the Coolmore Canford Cliffs Stakes at Tipperary for the Andy Oliver team.

Chris Hayes went after long-time leader Orgilgo Bay entering the final quarter-mile and asserted in the final furlong to score by three-quarters of a length as First Cornerstone stepped up from his debut third at Down Royal.< King George River was sent off the 5-4 favourite for the Listed contest but trailed in last, while market rival Dibayani did not enjoy the best of passages and could never get in a blow in third.< Inxile has been a grand servant to the David Nicholls team and the seven-year-old won for the 11th time when he led all the way to complete back-to-back victories in the Abergwaun Stakes.

Winning in Ireland for the seventh time, the Adrian Nicholls-ridden 5-1 shot had the Listed race sewn up in the final furlong and held Nocturnal Affair by a length and a half.

Wayne Lordan ploughed a lone furrow down the stands side in the McGrath Oil Maiden on the David Wachman-trained Awakened Spirit (5-1) and the move paid off handsomely.

Well beaten on her only start at Pontefract, the daughter of Fracas was up with the pace all the way and with favourite Leargas a big disappointment, she finished a length and a half clear of Red Queen

Lordan doubled up in the three-runner Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Race, driving the Willie McCreery-trained Colour Of Love (8-15 favourite) to the front deep inside the final furlong to peg back Modern Romance by three-quarters of a length.

The Dan Dooley Ford Centre Handicap went to Andrew Slattery's bang-in-form An Saighdiur (5-1), who led two furlongs out under Michael Cleere and stretched a length and a quarter clear of Balmont Mast to earn a trip to Scotland for the Ayr Gold Cup.

Megan Carberry got Daisy Mountain (12-1) home by a short head from Jappeli in a thrilling finish to the EquineFX.com Apprentice Handicap.
