John Kiely expressed satisfaction after rising star Sweeps Hill made a successful hurdling debut at Tipperary.
The classy five-year-old was awarded the Punchestown Champion Bumper on his last outing in April after the original winner, Dunguib, was disqualified.
Sweeps Hill carried on the good work in his new career with a determined success in the Visit Tipperary Maiden Hurdle.
David Casey's mount moved into contention approaching the home bend and was pushed out to defeat Jowango by a length and three-quarters.
Kiely said of the 2-5 favourite: "That was a nice start. It probably wasn't the greatest race, but he jumped well and hopefully he'll improve from that."< Ballyvoile also justified favouritism in the Emly & ndash; Ireland's Tidiest Town 2009 Maiden Hurdle.
Trainer Margaret Flynn said of the 2-1 shot: "We will go to Cheltenham in November now, he's very versatile and he'll jump a fence.
"Two miles is as short as he'd want it and the rain came just in time to make it a test of stamina."< Golden Moon (16-1) then fared best in the desperate conditions to land division one of the Glen Of Aherlow Handicap Hurdle.
Trainer Tim Doyle said: "We will try and get him into another race as quick as we can now."
Former Sir Michael Stoute recruit Florimund (12-1) excelled in the second division of the handicap hurdle.
Successful handler Michael Butler reported: "He had a bit of a setback last year so we gave him a few runs on the Flat to get him right."
Florimund was ridden by the trainer's son, Mikey, and is also owned by Michael Butler's daughter, Eileen.
Noel Meade continued his hot streak when Hotel Hilamar (11-4) checked in for the Rock Of Cashel Beginners Chase under Paul Carberry.
Meade said: "That was a very good performance.
"He's had a lot of problems with his wind and he's had two operations.
"I'm not certain he's 100% but he got away with it with a tongue-tie."
