Davy Condon enjoyed his first winner since returning to Ireland as he steered Two Left Boots to victory at Tramore.
The rider had been stable jockey to Nicky Richards in Cumbria but the pair recently parted company leaving Condon to return to home soil.
He lined up on Tony Mullins' 7-1 shot Two Left Boots in the Dunhill Handicap Hurdle and after picking it up before the last, Condon did not have to work too hard for a four-length verdict over Chronomatic
Mullins said: "This horse has shown ability in the past but then he went off the wall a bit. We brought him to a horse dentist, Tom Fleming in Dungarvan, and he fixed him up.
"I hope he'll be a Galway horse. If the handicapper doesn't go too mad with him he might win a couple of more races."< Shernaz (5-1) improved on his course third last month as he landed the Drumcannon Handicap Hurdle for jockey Andrew Lynch and trainer Philip Dempsey.
"He'll run in handicaps for the rest of the summer. He is a great jumper," said the winning handler.< Thelobstercatcher (11-4 joint-favourite) got off the mark at the fifth attempt under Rules in the Carraigavantry Maiden Hurdle.
The Niall 'Slippers' Madden-ridden winner outpointed fellow market leader Warhead by seven lengths for trainer Willie Murphy.
"He was sick through the winter and he'd probably prefer a longer trip," said Murphy.
Madden later secured a double as Banna Beach (100-30 favourite) came out on top in the Ballinattin Handicap Chase.
The Philip Rothwell-trained Gerbera enjoyed a bloodless success in the August Festival 13th to 16th Maiden Hurdle.
Despite having failed to complete on two of his previous three starts, Gerbera was sent off the 2-1 favourite and he repaid that faith as he powered home by eight lengths in the hands of Davy Russell.
