< Sands Cove added a victory over fences to his previous successes in a bumper and over hurdles as he landed the Find Us On Facebook Beginners Chase at Tramore for the in-form Charlie Swan.

The 11-4 chance, tackling the bigger obstacles for the first time, was always prominent in the hands of David Casey, who sent him into the lead between the final two fences.

The favourite Edeymi was some way behind early on but made significant progress into a challenging position when he fell at the second-last, and Sands Cove ran on strongly to hold Coldstonesober by two and a half lengths lengths.

The Eoin Doyle-trained Chebona Bula (20-1), a spare ride for Pat Mangan after Adam O'Neill was injured in a fall, led going to two out to take the Tramore Racecourse Supporters Club Beginners Chase by two and a half lengths. It was his third victory at the tight track.

There was money for Banana Flambe before the August Festival 15th To 18th Maiden Hurdle and the Edward O'Grady-trained five-year-old obliged in the hands of Barry Geraghty.

With favourite Star For Life departing in mid-race, Banana Flambe (7-2) led after the third-last and galloped on strongly to resist the challenge of Tangolan by a length.

The form book didn't exactly advertise Revolutionary Road s chance in the Graun Hill Suite For Parties Handicap Hurdle but Maureen Danagher's gelding, well backed into 11-1, charged late under amateur Lenny Flynn to get up by half a length.

Paul Flynn's Thundering Steel (9-1) joined issue at the second-last in the Tramore Racecourse Supporters Club Maiden Hurdle and appreciated the step up in trip and the ground as he stayed on strongly for Alan Crowe to score by three-quarters of a length.

Ray Hurley's John The Soldier sprung a 25-1 surprise under Ian McCarthy in the jogforjockeys.ie Handicap Hurdle, winning his first race on his 18th start as he beat the well-fancied Drumlister by two and three-quarter lengths.
