< Aughnacurraveel stepped up on his promising form in point-to-points and bumpers to win the Stradbally Maiden Hurdle at Tramore on his first start over timber.

The well-backed 11-4 shot was given a confident ride by Mikey O'Connor, arriving full of running just as Traffic Article struck the front approaching the second-last and sweeping past on the run-in to score by a length and a quarter.

Favourite Fleeting Moment looked a big threat, but 17-year-old Ciara Fahey got a good tune out of Lea Lady and she led at the final flight to score by two lengths. It was the rider's first winner.

Willie Murphy's top-weight Vinnie (11-4 favourite) put up a brave front-running performance to defy a 6lb penalty in the Graun Hill Handicap Hurdle, just lasting home by a length and three-quarters under Barry Cash.

Colin Kidd's Back Of The Pack (25-1) has two ways of running and was pulled up last time, but she put her best foot forward for Mike Darcy on her debut over fences to take the Dungarvan Beginners Chase by three and a half lengths.

Donal Hassett produced Skidroe Joe fighting fit to win the Kilmacthomas Handicap Chase after a lay-off of nearly a year.

There were three locked together at the second-last, but the 9-1 shot had been travelling best and asserted before the final fence under Paul Townend to score by two and a half lengths.
