The Andy Oliver trained Bankroll made most of the running to win the concluding Summer Barbeque Evening Handicap at Naas this evening, ending the evening on a good note for jockey Chris Hayes.

Hayes, who received a two day suspension earlier in the day, sent the gelding into the lead early and the pair battled well in the straight to eventually record a length and a half win over Gunner Lindley

Oliver was not present to see the gelding record his second win in three starts, his penultimate success being when landing a big gamble at Limerick last month.
