Aidan O'Brien is looking to run Hermosa during Irish Champions Weekend following her victory at Galway.

The daughter of Galileo stepped up on her debut run at the Curragh to open her account in a 13-runner maiden over seven furlong.

"Hermosa, who won in Galway, is probably one for Champions Weekend," said O’Brien.

"She had the benefit of a run then and even though she had a decent draw she was a little bit slow away. Donnacha did well to get her organised in the dip and she came home very well.

"She looks like she’s a nice filly."

Anthony Van Dyck could book his place in next month Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes at the Curragh when he lines up for the Galileo Irish EBF Futurity Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday week.

The promising two-year-old colt had won his maiden over a mile at Killarney but took the drop back to seven furlongs in his stride as he landed the Group Three Tyros Stakes in impressive fashion at Leopardstown last month.

"We ran him in the Tyros thinking that he’d maybe have to go up to a mile,” said O’Brien.

"In the Tyros he looked like he’d be very happy and comfortable to stay at seven.

"He might to to the Futurity with a view to going to the National Stakes.

"We’ll see how he goes over the next couple of weeks. What we saw we were very happy with even though we thought he would be a middle-distance horse next year.

"Looking at him in the Tyros, he could be very comfortable starting at a mile next year."
