Chrysanthemum returned to winning ways in the featured Listed Corkracecourse.ie Navigation Stakes at Cork today, registering a first winner for jockey/trainer combination of Shane Foley and David Wachman.

A Group 3 and Listed winner earlier this season before meeting three defeats, the daughter of Danehill Dancer improved to lead two furlongs out. However she failed to shake off Barack who moved to the front with a furlong to race. To Chrysanthemum's credit, the filly stuck to her task well, improving to regain the lead close home.

Wachman was not present for the win but jockey Foley stated “that's my first winner for David Wchman and its only my second ride for him.

“Chrysanthemum goes through that ground well but was a bit 'lairy' and wasn't doing a stroke. I always felt we were holding the other one (Barack).”
