Courtncatcher just held on to complete a hat-trick in the Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle at Naas.

Andrew McNamara sent his mount to the front after the second last and he battled on well in the closing stages.

The Patrick Duffy-trained gelding had to survive a stewards enquiry after jumping left at the final flight and causing interference to Prince Rudi and Gift Of Dgab Jennies Jewel stormed home on the run-in and just failed to get up by a short-head.

"He surprises me everyday and is really full of himself," said Duffy.

"Where we go now I don't know. He has a lot done this year and I can't expect anymore.

"I get a real kick out of breeding them, it's a double bonus, and I'm so thrilled."
