Plenty of rivals were snapping at her heels up the straight in the Bet 10 Get 20 With MansionBet Handicap (Div II) but the front-running Highway To Heaven (12/1) kept them all at bay under Danny Sheehy.

She ran on gamely to beat the staying-on 15/8 favourite All The Mollies by three quarters of a length with Voyageofdiscovery (10/1) just a further short head away in third.

The winning daughter of Pour Moi had gained her only previous win on the corresponding card last year, when winning a division of this 45-65 rated event under a similarly positive ride.

Below par on recent starts, trainer Tom McCourt reapplied cheekpieces which clearly did no harm as she provided the Stamullen Co.Meath trainer with his sixth winner of the campaign.

Winning rider Danny Sheehy, completing a double after winning on Laggata earlier, said: “It’s been a good day. She’s been working really well at home and we thought the extra furlong would suit her well. She travelled really well, switched off early and picked up really well.

“Tom filled me with confidence. He told me to make up her mind for her so I did that and made the running. I set sail about three furlongs out and in fairness she kept going.

“She likes it around here and a tiny bit of ease in the ground suited her.”
