Bangonform ran out a convincing eight length winner of the last at Tramore today, the @tramoreraces on Twitter Handicap Chase.

Trained by Davy Fitzgerald and ridden by Davy Russell, the 8yo son of Lord Americo was sent off the 7/4 favourite.

Prominent throughout he hit the front before the second last and asserted and stretched cleared before the last going on to score comfortably.

The 10yo Bachelor Affair ran a cracker to finish second at 20/1 under Tommy Treacy for Ger Mullins while Fever Pitch was a further four and a quarter lengths back in third under Davy Casey for Arthur Moore at 6/1.

Winning trainer Davy Fitzgerald said afterwards: "He was well handicapped and I'm not surprised by the way he won.

"He was a good horse two years but has had problems and I’m just delighted to have him back right.

"I think he could win one of the better races off a light weight and Davy (Russell) agreed with me.

"He will have to go to Punchestown now on Wednesday under a four pound penalty before the handicapper gets at him."
