Lady Kaya is set to return to the Curragh for a tilt at the Debutante Stakes following her awesome display at the track last weekend.

Having finished a highly promising third on her June debut, the daughter of Dandy Man opened her account with a 10-length demolition job.

Having seen off interest from potential buyers, trainer Sheila Lavery is looking forward to seeing her stable star test her powers at Group Two level on August 26.

She said: “She’s come out of the race very well and the owners are going to hold on to her, which is obviously great for me.

“My niece owns her and I didn’t get involved in the decision. I told her there had been interest, but they’re holding onto her.

“The plan at the moment is to go back to the Curragh for the Debutante. It will be big step up but it looks the obvious progression as she’s won at the Curragh over seven furlongs and timescale-wise it fits in well.”
