Following on from Love’s 1000 Guineas win, and a double at Naas yesterday, Ballydoyle kept up the good work at Leopardstown with Ennistymon’s success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.

Like the Aidan O’Brien victors less than 24 hours earlier, Ennistymon was ridden by Seamie Heffernan, and the 11/8 market-leader fought off Shamiyna by a head.

Astadash (100/1) stormed home for third, half a length back.

“She had a lovely run last year at the Curragh when I got no run on her,” said Heffernan.

“Ideally I would have liked a bit of cover but I won well at the line. She idled a little bit in front.

“She could make up into a smart filly.”
