Alain 'Squeaky' Cawley was continuing his good run when winning The McSweeney Arms Hotel Hurdle aboard the 8/11 favourite Faltering Fullback of Eric McNamara's.
McNamara said afterwards, "The other horse came to him in the straight and we were caught for a bit of toe but our fellow battled it out well. I think he's more of a 2 ? mile or a 3 mile horse. He's just a stayer with great cruising speed and he'll be a very exciting horse over fences. He will have a break now and we'll probably bring him back in October and we'll go straight over fences with him then."
