There have been a couple of good finishes at Tramore this afternoon but the best was left to last as Gusty Rock just held on at the line to take the concluding 1m6f maiden.

Pat Flynn's charge travelled well into contention down the hill, under Katie Walsh, and claimed front-runner Little King Robin turning into the straight.

The King's Theatre gelding was all out at the line, however, as Sizing Italy got into his stride in the closing stages and was just denied by a nose at the death. Gusty Rocky was following up on his bumper success at Clonmel just nine days ago.

The winner was sent off 5/2 joint-favourite along with the eventual third-placed Little King Robin.

“"It's great, there is some difference between winning and losing. Katie just felt she got there a bit too soon,” said Flynn, who was recording a double following the earlier victory of Waydownsouth

“I was probably a bit easy on him after his last run, but he did great today.

“Hopefully he'll get a nice handicap mark now and he might go for an amateur handicap next."
