Hidden Cyclone could have a few more tries over hurdles after his decent effort at Galway on Thursday.

Shark Hanlon's 10-year-old is more renowned for his prowess as a chaser, but connections were keen to exploit a considerably lower rating over timber in the Galway Hurdle.

He finished fourth, beaten under eight lengths by Quick Jack.

Hanlon said: "He's 100 per cent, but was probably a bit rusty over hurdles as it was his first run over them for four years.

"He lost too much ground at six or seven of the hurdles and, in a race like that, you can't afford to do that.

"I imagine we'll give him a bit of a break now, but we might stick to hurdling for a bit as he's capable of winning plenty of races off his mark."
