William Haggas will consider a trip to Hong Kong for One Master following her fine effort in defeat at the Breeders’ Cup.

After winning a Group Three at Tipperary during the summer, the daughter of Fastnet Rock grabbed Group One glory with a shock victory in the Prix de la Foret on Arc day at ParisLongchamp.

The four-year-old then proved that performance was no fluke last Saturday when beaten just a length into fifth place by fellow British raider Expert Eye, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, in the Breeders’ Cup Mile at Churchill Downs.

Haggas said: “I thought One Master ran a fantastic race from where she was drawn (stall one), because the ground was at its softest on the inside.

“She has been invited to Hong Kong for the Mile, so we’ll certainly look at that.

“She’s only been home from America a few days and hasn’t been ridden yet, so we’ll see how she is, but we’ll give Hong Kong strong consideration.”

One Master was one of two runners in Kentucky for the Newmarket handler, and Queen Of Bermuda also performed with credit to finish fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint on what was her final outing for the yard.

“We had two runners, and I was very proud of both of them,” Haggas added.

“Queen Of Bermuda ran very well as well — so although we didn’t hit the board in terms of winners, I was very pleased.

“Queen Of Bermuda is staying in America and is going to be trained by Graham Motion."
