Jim Bolger’s Sheer Bravado supplemented his Listowel gains with success in the extended seven furlong handicap at Tipperary.

The 11/4 favourite had plenty of horses in front of him racing to the final quarter of a mile but was still going well for Kevin Manning.

The Fracas gelding soon got out in the clear down the centre of the track and stayed on to arrive in contention at the furlong marker.

He took a narrow lead 150 yards out and strode on to win by a length and quarter. Kodiac Prince finished in the runner-up berth at 8/1. Comfort Line was a further length and a half away in third at 22/1. Soaring Monarch didn’t enjoy much fortune as he got no run on the inner behind the leaders approaching the final furlong and it was the same story inside the final furlong. His run in fourth can be marked up for future reference.
