Goodwood second Blue Point is one of 15 horses to stand their ground for Saturday's Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Gimcrack Stakes at York.

The Godolphin colt was beaten a neck by Mehmas when odds-on for the Group Two Richmond Stakes at the Glorious meeting and has another try at that level in this six-furlong heat, where he could be joined by stablemate Final Reckoning.

Aidan O'Brien's Intelligence Cross was three lengths away in third and could take his chance again for the Ballydoyle team on the Knavesmire.

Simon Crisford's Mokarris was a Listed winner at Newbury last time and takes a step up in class, while John Gosden's Royal Ascot winner Ardad could try to atone for a poor run at Newmarket on his most recent start.

Global Applause is in line to improve on his Molecombe third for Ed Dunlop but he could also cross swords again with The Last Lion, who was one place in front on that occasion.

The Last Lion is one of two contenders for Mark Johnston along with Sutter County and Mailshot.

Dream Of Dreams, Ernststavroblofeld, Grey Britain, Medici Banchiere, Mubtasim and Unabated complete the possibles.
