King Of Firth got the job done in the concluding T.V.O'Brien Memorial (Pro/Am) Flat Race at Galway.

Patrick Mullins rode the Flemensfirth gelding for Mag and owner Annette Mee and he was all out at the finish to justify favouritism by half a length and a neck from first-time out pair, Lots Of Memories and Aerlite Supreme

Mag Mullins said: "He's a real genuine horse and he's been consistent. It's lovely that he's won one of these as he's not really a bumper horse and he'll go hurdling now.

"I'm always delighted to have a winner for the Mees, they are lovely people and are great for racing. Their support has been a fantastic help for my yard."

The win was a bit of a boost for connections following the below-par showing of Cairdin half-an-hour earlier. (TW & EM)
