Trainer Aidan O’Brien and jockey Seamie Heffernan completed a double in the concluding Loughwood Fencing EBF Maiden at The Curragh today with newcomer Imperial Monarch

The son of Galileo stayed on strongly inside the final furlong for an impressive win over Azamata

Afterwards Heffernan said “Imperial Monarch has a lovely pedigree and has been working like he was ready to run. Usually some of ours can be a bit green but he wasn’t.”
