More magic from Marnane

Trainer David Marnane continues to clock up winners and recorded his 19th success of the year when his Maal landed the opening Fermoy Handicap at Cork today.

The gelded son of Mozart chased the leaders before eventually getting to the front under two furlongs out, eventually staying on well for a five length win over Apt Son

Afterwards a delighted Marnane stated "that's my 19th winner of the year (16 on the Flat and three over jumps) and this is my third horse to win three races. We'll see what the handicapper does with him now before making plans."
