After winning the seventh aboard Prince D'Aubrelle Patrick Mullins quickly doubled-up in the last, the ML Lynch Civil Engineering (Qualified Riders) Flat Race, as he partnered UK raider High Secret to victory.

The Mark Prescott trained four-year-old was just beaten at Ascot on his last start having won the time before that Catterick.

Available at 6/4 last night the son of High Chaparral opened on-course at 8/11 before going off the favourite at 9/10.

Giving weight all round he was settled in second and was ridden to lead under two furlongs out.

He soon went a few lengths clear and kept on well inside the final furlong to score by two lengths. Ma Garrett kept on well to take second under Finian Maguire for John Nicholson at 14/1 while the front-running Lots Of Memories was a head back in third under Trevor Beattie for Paul Fahey at 5/1.

Patrick Mullins said afterwards: "It was a privilege to ride for Sir Mark (Prescott) and he's a horse who has plenty size and will win plenty more races."

Regarding his fall on the way to the start, where Mullins managed to hold on to the gelding after his tumble, Patrick added: "He just spooked at the ambulance but I definitely wasn't letting him go!"
