Nelson could attempt to follow in his famous father's hoofprints on Saturday after being left in the entries for the Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes at Newmarket.

The two-year-old colt, whose sire Frankel won the mile Group Two contest when it was run at Ascot in 2010, is one of six possibles for trainer Aidan O'Brien.

Futurity Stakes winner Rostropovich, Berkeley Square, Coat Of Arms, Mendelssohn and Threeandfourpence complete the sextet of entries for the Ballydoyle handler.

Impressive first-time-out winner Elarqam is one of three contenders for trainer Mark Johnston, alongside Dee Ex Bee and Mildenberger.

The John Gosden-trained Roaring Lion is in contention to make it three wins from as many starts, while Masar, from the yard of Charlie Appleby, was an impressive winner of the Solario Stakes.

Completing the list of confirmations is Herculean (Roger Charlton), Ibn Al Emarat (David Simcock), Midnight Wilde (John Ryan) and Petrus (Brian Meehan).
