Redhotfillypeppers, a £200,000 Tattersalls Ireland Cheltenham May Sale purchase, is nearing her racecourse debut as the striking daughter of Robin Des Champs is well-entered up over the festive period.

Willie Mullins has the Coldunell Limited-owned four-year-old in a couple of races at Limerick, but she has an engagement at Punchestown on New Year's Eve as well.

She is joint most expensive point-to-point mare ever sold at auction, much sought after following her victory under Harley Dunne for the Donnchadh Doyle-yard at Necarne less than a fortnight prior to her sale.

Patrick Mullins reports that Redhotfillypeppers has pleased in her work at Closutton, explaining: "She's a fine, big filly and we've had no problems with her. We'd be expecting her to win her bumper. She cost a lot of money, but she's doing all the right things at home.

"She's by a sire (Robin Des Champs) that we've had an awful lot of luck with. She's as fine a mare as we have in the yard and we're really looking forward to getting her out on the track.

"She's ready to run and we'll pick a race that we're happy to go in. David (Dunsdon) bought her and he will ride her. He's been over to ride her work a few times."

Redhotfillypeppers is from the family of Mullins' dual Thyestes Chase winner On His Own, who was denied by just a short head in the 2014 running of the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
