Prospects for jumps racing in Ireland in the coming week are looking good.

No problems are reported at either Limerick, where they are scheduled to race on Wednesday, or at Gowran Park on Thursday where the Goffs Thyestes Handicap Chase is the feature.

"At the moment there are no problems, but they are going to do a bit or rearranging at Limerick," said Irish Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone.

"They have reduced the number of runners per race to 14 and they haven't made their mind up yet whether they will use the inside hurdle track or the outside one.

"It will be a decision they will take tomorrow. The ground is heavy at both tracks.

"We haven't had the weather the UK has had. We've had some sleet and snow showers around, but nothing down this part of the world that would cause problems. At the moment it's all systems ago."
