Two racecourses have been named as vaccination centres ahead of the planned ramping up of Covid-19 vaccinations around the country.

Punchestown, already a testing centre, will be the facility for Co. Kildare while Ballybrit racecourse is the Co. Galway venue.

Their roll as vaccination centres is not expected to have any impact on scheduled race meetings.

Punchestown's national hunt festival, which was cancelled last year, is due to take place from April 27th to May 1st.

The Galway festival this summer is from July 26th to August 1st.
