Punchestown figures up on last year

A crowd of 6,321 people turned up at Punchestown this afternoon to witness Thousand Stars land the featured ladbrokes.com Morgiana Hurdle for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh.

The Tote turnover was well up at €213,477.00 compared to €109,133.00 for the corresponding meeting last year.

Punchestown General Manager Dick O'Sullivan was obviously happy with the attendance and he said: "I’m delighted with the crowd which is more than double what we had last year.

"I’d say it’s the biggest crowd we've had outside of the Festival."
