Adrian Heskin recorded a quick double (won aboard Run With The Wind in the previous race) as he partnered the Eoghan O'Grady trained Clara More to win the Dawn 1% Lite Milk Handicap Hurdle.

The winning 7yo son of Luso sprang a 12/1 surprise last Friday at Cork where he beat subsequent winner Frankie Flowers (won at Sligo on Sunday) into second.

Today he improved to lead from the fourth last hurdle and despite putting in an awkward jump at two out he kept on well to score by half a length.

The Liz Doyle trained Renoyr stayed on well to take second under Ben Dalton at 16/1 while The Pott Reidy was third at 25/1 a further six lengths back for trainer Thomond O’Mara. Grand Cru completed the placings two and a half lengths back in fourth under Mikey Butler for Eoin Doyle at 20/1 while the 2/1 favourite, China Goes Green pulled up in the straight after making some jumping errors.

The winner was returned the 5/2 second favourite after opening at 100/30 and touching 7/2.

Winning trainer Eoghan O'Grady said afterwards: "He’ll go to Galway now for a handicap hurdle or to Cork on the Monday. He will go back over fences before too long.

"He is owned by Willie O’Leary who played football for Cork in the sixties and he won a Munster title with them in 1963."
