Noel Meade is delighted with Road To Riches as he builds up towards another crack at the Stan James Irish Gold Cup on February 12th.
Runner-up to Carlingford Lough in the race last year, he has had an interrupted campaign this time around.
After a satisfactory return at Gowran in October, he suffered from kissing spines and he did not run again until the Lexus at Christmas.
Meade was pleased with his charge's effort in finishing eighth, with Road To Riches still in contention until the second-last before tiring late on behind Outlander.
"I think he's in great form and I'm really, really happy with him," said Meade.
"He has a skin on him like in summer and he seems to be in great shape. It's all systems go.
"He's gone a bit lazy at home so it's hard to know exactly."
