Ken Condon was left ruing his luck after Romanised travelled to France but was prevented from running last Friday by a small setback.
The Solario Stakes runner-up may now be put away for the winter, after which he will be trained with the Irish Guineas in mind.
"It was disappointing, but he was found to be lame on Thursday night," said Condon.
"He had his shoe removed and we iced it overnight, but it didn't respond quickly enough so he couldn't run.
"He's back on the Curragh now and we'll check him over fully. It's a shame as it looked a good opportunity. I'm not sure if he'll run again (this season), as that was the plan.
"He'll be trained for the Irish Guineas, I'm not sure running him in a Guineas trial on bad ground would be a good idea, but I'm sure a mile will be fine for him at three.
"In time, if he's up to it, it may turn out that the Prix de la Foret is his ideal race."
