Today's meeting at Limerick goes ahead following an 8am inspection but officials at the venue have already decided to call a precautionary inspection for the meeting there on Saturday.

An 8am inspection will be held tomorrow morning, again at 8am, due to an adverse weather forecast.

Meanwhile officials are concerned about the state of the chase course at Fairyhouse ahead of the New Year's Day meeting.

The chase course will continue to be monitored due to the current unsettled weather. The going at Fairyhouse is currently described as heavy (soft to heavy in places) on the hurdle track and heavy on the chase course.
