Amazing Star bounced back to form when running out a cosy winner of the nine-furlong handicap at Leopardstown.

Denis Hogan 's charge had been in good form on the all-weather towards the start of the year but had proved disappointing in recent outings.

Seamus Heffernan weaved his way through the field to lead inside the final furlong on the Soviet Star gelding and he kept on well in the closing stages for a three-length success at 12/1.

Hogan was himself in action in the saddle up in Sligo and Heffernan said afterwards:- “He has been a bit tricky in the stalls recently. Denis said he had to be held up. He has been a little disappointing but everything worked today.”
