"On Tuesday Storm (by Excellent Art) makes her debut at Lingfield. We have been pleased with her at home and are hopeful." So goes the report from the Charlie Hills website and this one has certainly been the subject of market support for today's 4.10, the Play Golf At Lingfield Park Resort Maiden Stakes.

Backed from around 5/1 in places for the seven furlong event, Storm is now a best-priced 2/1 (at 11.40). She'll be ridden by William Carson.

Ciaran 'Flash' Conroy of Glenvale Stud in Carrick-On-Suir in Tipperary, made a nice-profit on Storm, buying her as a foal at Goffs in November 2010 for 13,500 Euros before selling her less than a year later at the Goffs Orby Yearling Sale for 105,000 Euros.

She was signed for then by BBA Ireland/Charlie Hills. Storm races today in the ownership of R Morecombe, J Netherthorpe and Eddie O'Leary of Gigginstown House Stud fame. (EM)
