The concluding race on this evening’s card, the Down Royal ‘Punters Pack’ Handicap was won by the Lester Winters trained The Gnathologist in the hands of champion apprentice Emmett McNamara.
Anne-Marie sister to the winning trainer said afterwards: “He has been very unlucky. He ran very well at Dundalk.”
“He’s the most honest genuine horse and he only cost €3,000 at the Breeze Up Sale. We will probably go for something similar again.”
