Thirsty Work powered clear in the closing stages to run out a convincing winner of the bumper at Clonmel.

The 15/8 joint favourite settled behind the leaders in the two-miler before being produced to tackle front-runner Crazyheart at the two pole as market rival Joey Sasa also challenged.

Kate Harrington sent Thirsty Work to the front a furlong-and-a-half out and he went clear in the closing stages for six-and-a-half length victory in the colours of JP McManus.

The Jessica Harrington-trained gelding had been runner-up on two occasions in a bumper at Navan last time and a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse in January.

"He had a good run the last day and did it well today. He'll be a lovely horse next year and will be a chaser,” said the trainer.
