Light weight jump jockey Andrew Thornton partnered his first winner at Dundalk tonight when steering 14/1 chance Enigma Code to win the Winter Racing At Dundalk Handicap.
Afterwards winning trainer James McAuley stated “when you look back on his form, he doesn’t a mile. He was travelling well and didn’t get the trip the last day, over a mile. He has been working on his own and takes a couple of runs to get ready.”
The win was McAuley’s first winner since his Time Travel won at Wolverhampton last March.
