Preview gowran park 13th Dec

A couple of interesting Flat recruits embark on their first run over hurdles in the Gowran Park Golf Membership From 749 Euros 3-Y-O Hurdle, which gets the Gowran card under way at 12.35.

Hartside represents Noel Meade and owners Gigginstown House Stud, having rattled off a hat-trick of Flat wins for Tommy Carmody, while Bayan placed five times in seven starts for Brian Meehan before joining Gordon Elliott.

Willie Mullins will be hoping for a big day and unleashes Dougal Philps, but the most interesting runner may be Jim Bolger's Teofolina, a maiden winner on the level who could flourish over timber.

Mullins saddles Upazo, twice a winner in bumpers in France, in the Race That Stops A County - Jan 24th Thyestes 2013 Maiden Hurdle, but the biggest claims could come from another Gigginstown runner in Umpact.

The Tony Martin-trained four-year-old won a bumper despite looking very green on his only start in France and that run promised much.

Mullins will be hopeful that Mozoltov can open his hurdling account at the first attempt in the Students Day At Gowran Park 2013 - Tuesday April 9th Maiden Hurdle.

The smart bumper performer took minor honours in Grade One company at Punchestown and though recent Navan second Sizing Gold has the edge in terms of experience, Mozoltov looked a class act last term.

Champagne Agent is the Mullins representative in the Gowran Park Racing Club 2013 Maiden Hurdle and will bid to end a run of five placed efforts, though Navan second Kashline and Wexford third Band Leader should ensure a stiff test.

The final runner from Mullins' powerhouse yard comes in the Blue Moose After Racing Flat Race, where he gives Super Mix his debut.

Related to a number of National Hunt winners, he has winning pointer Plettenburg Bay and the experienced Our Native Land to contend with.
