Review tipperary 2nd Jul

Billy Lee completed a quick double at Tipperary when driving Tylery Wonder to victory in the Pride Of Tipperary Festival 2015 Handicap.

Willie McCreery's 9-2 chance was one of a line of four horses in front at the furlong pole, but he found most for Lee's urgings to pull a length and a quarter clear of Oor Jock.

Lee's first win came when Kuramathi produced a tremendous late surge to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden on his debut.

Andrew Slattery's 12-1 chance had plenty of ground to make up at the rear of the field under Lee but just as it appeared Dr Doro had asserted close home, Kuramathi found an extra gear to wear him down on the line, winning by a short head.

Jim Bolger looks to have a potentially very smart filly on his hands in Glamorous Approach, who struck on her debut in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.

Kevin Manning was happy to lead on the 5-1 chance and though a number of challengers tried to get past, none could manage it, with the big chestnut coming home half a length ahead of 50-1 chance Prove The Point, who flew from the back of the field close home.

Bubbly Bellini came from last to first in the final two furlongs to land the three-runner Follow TipperaryRaces On Twitter Race.

Odds-on favourite Father Frost cut out the running but Intensical got on top a furlong out, though he had no answer to Declan McDonogh on the 7-2 winner, who finished best of all to score.

Garvan Donnelly's Plough Boy (10-1) produced a late rattle under Robbie Downey to land the Tipperary Ladies Day Saturday 11th July Handicap, while the TipperaryRaces.ie Handicap went the way of the Charles O'Brien-trained Russian Roulette (5-1) under Fran Berry.
