Roi Du Mee (9-10 favourite) proved a popular selection in the Listed John Meagher Memorial Chase at Thurles and Gordon Elliot's charge eased to an 11-length success, confirming the promise he had shown in Grade 3 company at Punchestown last month.
In an intriguing renewal, 2011 RSA Chase hero Boston's Angel buckled under pressure and fell at the third-last, leaving Davy Russell's mount to cruise on past long-time leader Quarryvale and score without hardly knowing he'd had a race.
That formed the middle leg of a hat-trick for Gigginstown House Stud's retained pilot, who had earlier scored in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase aboard Tillahow (12-1).
Half-brother to the 1m Listed winner In The Night, the chasing debutant was seen slipping over in a competitive handicap hurdle at Gowran Park last month, but there were no such problems under Russell this time around and, while made to work hard by Lord Lir close home, he scored by half a length.
Russell completed the three-timer on Home Farm (7-1) in the Cashel (C & G) Maiden Hurdle. A combination of a positive front-running ride and a slice of fortune at the penultimate flight ensured he ran out an easy 17-length winner for Arthur Moore.
Best Of Bocelli (15-2) made it 22nd-time lucky when finally breaking his duck in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase. Myles Sunderland's nine-year-old beat the running-on Edmundo by three lengths under Mike Doran.
It was a similar story for Arthur Goulding's The Boys Don't Know (100-30 favourite), who got off the mark at the seventh time of asking in the Templemore Mares Maiden Hurdle under a confident Bryan Cooper, before Gillian Callaghan and 3lb claimer Keith Donoghue teamed up to land the Holycross Handicap Hurdle with 7-1 chance Doc Hollywood.
Heath Hunter (7-1) created a favourable impression when landing the Toboradora Flat Race for Jim Culloty and Robbie McNamara by five lengths and the successful newcomer looks to have a promising future.
