Royal Ascot winner Space Traveller is on course to run in the Clipper Logistics Boomerang Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday week.

The Group Two on the opening day of Longines Irish Champions Weekend is the target for the Richard Fahey-trained colt, who lifted the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Connections are keen to head for the mile feature as the race is sponsored by Space Traveller’s owner, Steve Parkin, under his Clipper Logistics banner.

Fahey said: “We’re happy with him. He’s in the Boomerang and if the ground is not too soft he’ll probably go there.

“Steve sponsors the race.”

A son of Bated Breath, Fahey’s charge was last seen finishing third in the nine-furlong Strensall Stakes at York, beaten less than a length.
